Three days camping tour

with Caz and Soph

Carolyn from Australia/Philippines and Sophie from England went on a last minute private 3 days and 2 night camping tour with us. Here are some of their pictures. Thanks Caz and Soph for your great comments and we hope to see you here again!

After being pointed in the direction of El Nido for a last minute trip we struggled to find a tour to suit our fixed dates. Palawan Explorers were extremely accommodating and organized a private 3 day tour for us. I have to admit that this wasn’t my normal or even first choice of a way to spend my holiday… WRONG! From the very beginning I couldn’t have asked for anything more, from the email questions quickly responded to and meeting with our tour guide Eric the night before we set off.
These guys have thought of everything and put us at ease quickly. The crew know the archipelago like the back of their hand and navigated us with ease, avoiding the rush of other tours where possible giving us the beaches to ourselves. A big part of this trip is the beautiful clear water and the technicolor coral, best viewed with a snorkel. One of us not being too keen on snorkeling was aided by the ever helpful and all round top guy Randy. Just one of many examples of going beyond the call of duty I must add .Throughout the trip we were directed towards great scenic landmarks and given information on local culture and even taken to small coastal communities. Come nightfall and you will find yourself set up on a white beach with a fantastic view, cold glass of rum and your palace under the stars (tent) set up while Eric whips up a feast.
THE FOOD. The best food we had in Palawan by a mile was served on this boat, we lived like kings. Everything is fresh and cooked on the boat or over a fire at the beach. Whole roasted fish, squid, plenty of Pilipino power… or rice, tropical fruits and the best sweet potato you will ever eat. I could go on.
When our trip came to an end and we climbed off the boat for one last time Eric and his girlfriend Nico helped us organize onward trip and activities for the remainder of our time in el Nido. These guys have a great family business and a genuine caring and cultural awareness. To say I’d love to go back is an understatement, they excelled and I have and will continue to recommend them!
